Outreach

As a lover of public outreach and digital illustrator, I have helped create a number of educational tools designed to share archaeology and the ancient world with a wide range of learners. Below, you can find information on some of these projects, and examples of some of my favourite works. I loves to collaborate on educational materials like these, so get in touch if you think I could help to create something with you!

Coloring Ancient Egypt, an educational colouring book commissioned by Harvard Art Museums, features objects from the museum’s collections, and fun activities for kids of all ages! The colouring book is free to download in four languages, and full of exciting pictures and activities all about ancient Egypt.

Coloring German Expressionism is a colouring book for adults commissioned by Harvard Art Museums. This colouring book includes 10 colour-in-able German Expressionist artworks from the museum’s collections! It’s full of interesting information about these artworks and the artistic movement–and, it’s free to download.

Dendrochronology: Exploring Trees Through Art is an educational colouring and activity book commissioned by and used at the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research at the University of Arizona! Colour in trees of all kinds and learn about why tree rings are one of nature’s best calendars!

Dig Doodles is an online learning project created by myself and fellow archaeologist and educator Jen Thum. The project uses colourful illustrations paired with fun facts to make learning about archaeology accessible for all! Find Dig Doodles on our website and Instagram.
